NR 10 BASIC INSTRUCTION COURSE IN ENGLISH
How to obtain the NR 10 Basic Instruction Course?
The NR 10 Basic Instruction Course aims to instruct participants in safety procedures and standards related to installations and services with electricity. Providing the necessary knowledge to prevent accidents and ensure the physical integrity of workers, meeting the legal requirement of Regulatory Standard 10 (NR 10) established by the Brazilian Ministry of Labor and Employment.
What Safety Measures Should Be Adopted in Electricity Services?
The main Safety Measures that must be adopted in Electricity Services, according to NR 10, are:
Identification and Signaling: Identify and signal electrical areas and installations, making clear the presence of electrical hazards. This includes the use of warnings, signs, tape, and markings.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Use appropriate PPE, such as gloves, goggles, helmets and appropriate clothing for each type of electrical activity. This equipment must be certified and in good condition.
Safe Work Procedures: Follow safe work procedures such as obtaining permits, shutting down and blocking circuits, testing for no voltage, grounding, and short circuit.
Adequate Infrastructure: Maintain the electrical infrastructure in good condition, with electrical installations and equipment in compliance with technical standards.
Training and Qualification: Require workers to have the necessary training and qualification to perform electrical activities, such as the NR 10 Basic Instruction Course.
Risk Analysis: Carry out a prior analysis of the risks involved in electrical activities, adopting the appropriate control and protection measures.
Communication and Supervision: Establish effective communication between workers and carry out constant supervision of electrical activities.
Compliance with these safety measures is essential to prevent accidents and ensure the physical integrity of professionals who perform services on electrical installations and equipment.
